Nueces River Authority

Water Quality Division

Manages collection of water samples for the Texas Clean Rivers Program and special projects like Texas Commission of Environmental Quality’s (TCEQ’s) Total Maximum Daily Load program. Petronila Creek is particularly of interest in recent years due to being one of the most impaired waters. We are proud to work with other environmental professionals with a plethora of expertise through the Texas A&M University’s Water Supply Studies and Center for Coastal Studies, Bring Baffin Back program, Coastal Bend Bays and Estuaries Program, Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board, Natural Resource Conservation Service, TCEQ, and other river authorities and groundwater districts.
